Galileo Capital (Pty) Ltd is an independent, owner-managed financial services provider.

We have world-class people and exemplary processes, which allow us to use a highly controlled investment and risk planning process to develop unique solutions for our clients.

  • 2005 – Galileo Capital is founded

    Galileo Capital was started in 2005 by Theo Vorster and Warren Ingram. They had a clear vision to create a financial planning business that was focussed on selling advice to investors rather than using advice to push products. The purpose of Galileo Capital was to be an independent and objective source of information  and advice to private individuals.

  • 2006 – Galileo Risk Launches

    Hayden Simpson partnered with Galileo Capital to form Galileo Risk which has since become one of South Africa’s largest independent short-term insurance brokers. It controls in excess of R150 million in premiums each year and services everyone from a private individual to a multi-national corporation.

  • 2011 – Financial Planner of the Year

    Warren Ingram was announced as the Financial Planning Institute’s Financial Planner of the year.

  • 2013 – FPI Media Award

    Warren Ingram was announced as the Financial Planning Institute’s Media Award winner in 2013 in recognition of his financial education work in the media.

  • 2015 – R1 billion

    In 2015, we achieved a significant milestone of managing more than R1 billion in investment assets for our clients.

  • 2016 – Intellidex Top Private Bank & Wealth Manager Awards

    Galileo Capital was announced as South Africa’s Top Wealth Management Boutique and the People’s Choice for SA’s Best Wealth Manager.

  • 2016 – Runner up Financial Planner of the year

    Yolande Botha was announced as a runner up in the 2016 Financial Planner of the year by the Financial Planning Institute.

  • 2018 – R3 billion

    In 2018, we achieved another significant milestone as the Group exceeded R3 billion in investors’ assets for the first time.
